TPA (Thermoplastic Polyether-Polyamide) is a special Polyamide-based block copolymer.
The special thing about TPA is that it contains no plasticisers and that the material still retains excellent flexible properties under low temperatures.
Like TPU, TPA is also very resistant to oil and fats, which is why it is often used in industrial applications and for dynamic seals.
TPA basically consists of PA12, making this material resistant to high temperatures as well.
Typical properties of TPA are:
There are various TPA materials that have different specific properties. For optimum use of these material properties, it is important for the material selection to take place at an early stage of the development process.
